Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Beat Ghost (“we”, “us”) processes when you play the game or use related online services. It is written for players worldwide.
1. Information we process
- Account profile — If you sign in with Google, we store an account id linked to your Google identity, plus display name and avatar URL you authorize the game to use.
- Gameplay data — Song scores, star ratings, and leaderboard placements associated with your account.
- Preferences — Language choice, tutorial progress, and whether your scores may appear publicly (“Authorized public display of data”).
- Technical logs — Basic server logs (for example request time and error codes) needed to operate and secure the API. We do not ask for your home address or government ID to play.
2. How we use information
- Provide sign-in, profiles, and leaderboards
- Sync public-display and name preferences you set in the client
- Detect abuse, cheating, or service abuse
- Improve stability and gameplay balance
- Respond to support requests you send us
3. Public leaderboards
When public display is enabled, other players may see your display name, avatar, and scores on global or song leaderboards. You can turn public display off in Settings. Offline or local-only data on your device is separate from server leaderboards.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with processors that host our API or authentication stack, or when required by law. Google Sign-In is operated by Google under Google’s own terms and privacy policy.
5. Retention
Account and score data are kept while your account remains active. If you delete your account in Settings, we delete your user record and associated scores from our game database when the deletion request succeeds. Residual backups may persist for a limited period before rotation.
6. Your choices
- Change language and public-display preference in Settings
- Edit your display name in Personal Center (synced when online)
- Delete your account in Settings
- Contact us to ask about access or correction of account data we hold
7. Children
Beat Ghost is a general-audience game. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent where required, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
8. International players
Our servers and processors may be located in different countries from where you play. By using the Service you understand that information may be processed in those locations with safeguards appropriate to the service providers we use.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
